The characters were downright easy to get attached to, the story was entertaining, sad and funny, and the artwork was amazing. The gameplay was a bit simplistic when compared to SRPG games of this day and age of gaming, but fairly good and free spirited at that time.
These 3 red heads were from La Pucelle Tactics. Croix the bad*** gunman, little Culotte the young yet mature minded choir boy, and of course, Prier, most stubborn, foul mouthed and aggressive of all the party members. Even the demons she would pound into the ground would question if she was truly human or not. = D
Prier's one of the few hawt chicks that looked good even by the original artist (who also does lots of busty, plump gals). Wish there was more of them.. Now all we have are pencil thin lolies.. Which are okay.
The game was probably the most difficult for me, mostly because of odd leveling and a kinda 'meh' storyline for me. I should get back to it someday.. since I think the ending is awesome. ;3
I need more full figured ladies taking charge in our video games, like sister Prier does. Ryoji's artwork is truly awe inspiring, yes!
Odd leveling you say? Yeah, it was pretty strange to have to equip certain items in order to gain certain stat growths, but to me, it was nice in that it made building your character's combat styles in the way you wanted to build them.
Yeah.. I kinda hated that item leveling thing. Phantom Brave had that too, but at least there I could steal items from the random worlds and make pathetically weak worlds from the ghosts.
Any plans on Demon Overlord Prier? Another Vivian? ~<3
I am afraid that I never played the game. I know you will recommend it to me. lol
As for critiquing, the drawing is well done. But I am confused as far as the character's heights. Looking at the one in the front, she looks like she is standing on a box compared to the guy. I hope you see what I mean.
I do recommend playing La Pucelle, but maybe not everyone will like it like I did. It's like Disgaea, but with a more simplistic battle system and slightly more serious story.
I see what you mean there, and I realized that while I was inking it, but by that time, it was too late to figure out any way to fix it. She's supposed to be in the foreground, but that illusion of depth doesn't come through quite right.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
